Sport plays a large part in the life of Woodside School. We believe in encouraging children to be fit for life and to build skills and understanding which will support their leisure time both now and in the future. We endorse competition so our pupils participate in both inter-house and inter- school competitions.
As a result of a government initiative, Woodside have been allocated ring fenced funding to improve the provision of PE and sport for all pupils. The statements below indicate how this money is used at Woodside.
In addition to this, Woodside offers a wide range of before and after school activities, at a small per session cost, which provide opportunities for children in improve their level of fitness and enjoyment of sport (e.g. running club, football, badminton, tennis, netball).
