Clubs

Clubs

There are all kinds of different clubs at Woodside, catering for a variety of abilities and interests. All children are welcome to join these clubs. Many of the clubs are run by the teachers who freely give up their time during lunch and after school.

Examples

Some of the clubs at Woodside include Bookclub, Multi-Sports, Wildplay, Homework, and Computer Club. There are also lots of different sports clubs of which Football is the most popular. Children are expected to bring the appropriate kit for whichever club they join.

Sometimes other organisations rent our school space so they can run clubs here too. One of these is Delph Dance. This is a run by two qualified dance teachers. This one hour session, which is bursting with fun, is run every Wednesday. The club members are encouraged to take part in competitions and festivals - the costumes are phenomenal; they are bursting with colour!

Competitions

Many of the clubs encourage the members to take part in competitions with other local schools. Woodside regularly competes in football matches and at cross-country meets.
